- Scamming websites do not always offer their address or contact details
- Prices are ridiculously low, much lower than their competitors
- Poorly arranged website, unprofessional 'feel' to the site
- No opportunity for customers to leave feedback or reviews of products
- No 'Contact Us' form if you have questions or need help with a transaction
- Scamming sites may ask for bank account or social security details. NEVER give this information out when buying a simple product online
- No shipping information
Some scamming websites have a professional ‘feel’ to them; the transaction might go through smoothly. However, the next day you will receive multiple emails requesting you to call their 888 or 800 number to verify your order. These phone banks are usually manned by young teenagers who do not speak in a professional manner; they don’t even own any inventory and operate out of their apartment with their friends.
